There was a big event that will go down in history and when the incident became public I was embarrassed to think about how our Republic would be viewed on the world stage but I am proud to think about all of our people who have overcome it wisely. What is unfortunate however is that despite the fact that it has been a year of 破邪顯 which is newly written history the horse industry is still difficult in the aftermath of the incident. This is because the thorny path of the horse industry which began last year when the horse was at the center of the historical event is thought to have continued this year. It is very sad to think about disabled children who sit on horses and smile happily at the scene of rehabilitation riding. Korea‘s rehabilitation riding began in 2001 as a social public interest project at Samsung Electronics Horses. I participated in the operation of the rehabilitation horse riding program with a light heart that allows children with brain lesions to have a different experience

Among them Cho Tae-hyun who dreams of becoming a member of the national equestrian team on behalf of the horseback riding world drew attention as a runner. Cho Tae-hyun who ran as a torchbearer on the day was running with Park Sang-young a gold medalist in fencing in the Rio Olympics and chanting "I can do it." At the scene of the torchbearer students and parents from the same school came out to cheer. Waving banners and cheering sticks it was like enjoying a festival of people all over the world. Choi Myung-an a teacher at Holt School who teaches Cho Tae-hyun said "It is an honor for my teaching student to participate in an international event and I hope he will be a great friend ba |

Looking back the past year has been a very difficult and difficult year. The achievements that have been made over the years have collapsed overnight and in particular the image of the horse-riding industry including horseback riding has been greatly degraded the number of citizens visiting the horse-riding field has decreased and people have visited the horse-riding field without fault. It is said that risks and opportunities coexist in crises. Taking lessons from the fact that we must join forces to show unity in times of need we gathered together to form the National Association of Horse-riding Businesses from all over the country and made a strong start. The National Horse-riding Business Association will serve as a foundation for the horse-riding field managers to work together to devise and implement development plans and to promote information exchange and pride. Thanks to your efforts the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs has provided budgeting and business guidelines

The growth of the horse industry was driven by the government‘s policy to foster the horse industry and those involved in the horse industry expected that the policy to foster the horse industry would continue to be implemented after 2017 under the "Second Five-Year Comprehensive Plan for Promotion of the Horse Industry." Nevertheless the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs announced that the delay in the establishment of the "Second Five-Year Comprehensive Plan for Promotion of the Horse Industry" which is stipulated by law is a loss of trust in the government and disappointing farmers and horse industry workers. Moreover without the announcement of the "Second Five-Year Comprehensive Plan for Promotion of the Horse Industry" by the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs in September 2017 the Korean Horse Industry Promotion Headquarters announced that it had divided the period into three stages every five years by 2030 to grow horse industry-related projects with the aim

The year 2017 was the Year of the Red Chicken. Perhaps that‘s why there were heated candlelight vigils and major changes in the country. Unfortunately at the center of the news the horse industry among other things appeared to be carrying bad images of horse riding every day. An incident caused tremendous damage to the entire horse industry which forced many people including myself who ran the actual horse racing course to overcome very difficult times. The first comprehensive plan for the horse industry came as an unforeseen moment for the Korean horse industry which was growing rapidly but in some ways I think it provided an opportunity to publicize the unfamiliar area of the ‘horse‘ to the public. Of course it has created a very bad image to be successful through noise marketing so it will take great effort and time to recover. The horse industry is steadily growing in developed countries. It is changing from an industrial structure that was concentrated in the horse racing industry
